About Us

AbuMuad.org, AmLineage.com, and AmBlogs.com are a trio of interconnected platforms dedicated to preserving heritage, memory, and knowledge. Each was inspired by the life and values of Abu Muad—a devoted reader, teacher, and father whose legacy continues to shape our mission.

Together, these platforms form a digital foundation for individuals and communities to explore their ancestry, document their histories, and contribute to a broader cultural record that spans names, languages, and cities.

AbuMuad.org

AbuMuad.org serves as a digital memorial and public archive honoring Abu Muad, who read over 1,000 books in his lifetime and co-authored one. The books he personally read and retained are now listed on the site and made available for public borrowing, reflecting his lifelong dedication to learning and the spread of knowledge.

In addition to his literary legacy, the site showcases highlights from his personal stamp and coin collection, accumulated over more than 40 years and reflecting global historical events and cross-cultural exchange. The site also includes biographical materials, ethical reflections, and tools to inspire others to preserve their own family values and legacies.

AmLineage.com

AmLineage.com is an open, multilingual genealogy platform where users can freely and collaboratively build dynamic family trees. Each person in the tree is assigned a dedicated profile page enriched with biographical narratives, references, documents, and a life event timeline.

Uploaded documents are intelligently linked to the individuals they mention—for example, if a user uploads a letter referring to Sultan Murad or Sultan Abdulhamid II, that document will appear on their profile pages under the “Documents” tab. This creates a living network between personal histories and documented heritage.

Beyond genealogy, AmLineage provides deep etymological research not just for names but also for place names and general vocabulary across a variety of languages and dialects. The platform includes a growing archive of urban name histories, tracing the linguistic and political evolution of cities and regions over time.

AmLineage employs a proprietary algorithm to estimate missing birth and death dates using data from close relatives—filling in generational gaps with historical plausibility. This powers the Timeline Tree, a dynamic and animated visualization of life spans mapped along a scrolling chronological axis.

The AmLineage research team is actively reconstructing and publishing family trees for major Arab tribes (such as Anza, Shammar, and Zubaid), ruling monarchies (including the Hashemite royal family, the Alaouite dynasty of Morocco, and the British monarchy), as well as historical ancestries (such as Mongol, Amazigh, and early Arab lineages). Historical dynasties—like the Umayyads, Abbasids, Russian imperial family, French kings, and rulers of Andalusia—are also being documented. Many tribes and clans from the Levant, the Arabian Peninsula, and Iraq are included and being progressively connected.

Many users may discover that part of their lineage already exists on the platform. To facilitate this, AmLineage is developing an algorithm to detect matches between user-submitted family trees and those previously built by our team or contributed by other users—helping to connect, enrich, and unify fragmented family histories.

To celebrate this heritage in a tangible way, AmLineage offers users the ability to style and export their family trees using a classical high-resolution template. These trees are dynamically rendered and can be exported in print-ready formats up to three meters wide—ideal for canvas printing and archival presentation.

AmBlogs.com

AmBlogs.com serves as the publishing arm of the ecosystem. Unlike typical blogging platforms, AmBlogs is not open for public contributions. Instead, it is authored exclusively by the AmLineage team based on their fieldwork, research, and lived experience. The content includes genealogies of notable tribes and royal families, patterns in etymology across names and places, and connections between language, geography, and heritage. It also reflects on historical preservation practices and the analytical methods behind our reconstructions. AmBlogs functions as a narrative companion to the structured data of AmLineage.com and the archival tribute of AbuMuad.org.

Our Purpose

Across all three platforms, our mission remains steadfast:
To preserve the past, empower the present, and shape the future by making personal and cultural heritage accessible, connected, and enduring.

Whether you're tracing your lineage, borrowing a book once read by Abu Muad, or exploring the etymology of a tribal name or ancient city, we welcome you into this growing digital legacy—one person, one page, and one story at a time.
